Our Top 3 Fun Activities For Kids In Pooler
One of the things that attract so many families to Pooler and the Greater Savannah area is the huge amount of family-friendly activities that are on offer here. We’re blessed with a wide range of places, businesses, events, and other fun activities that local children (and visiting relatives) love to spend their days enjoying.
Here’s a quick list of what we think are 3 of the best fun activities for kids in and around the Pooler area.
Let’s get started.
1) Tom Triplett Community Park
Tom Triplett Community Park is one of the best ways for you and the kids to enjoy some of the glorious weather our area is blessed with. The park itself is reasonably large, and it’s very well maintained by the diligent groundskeepers who work hard to keep the space in tip-top condition.
While there’s a wide range of things to do at the park, the beautiful large lake here is undoubtedly the star of the show. There’s a well-paved path that circumnavigates the lake that takes about an hour or so to walk around at a leisurely pace – and it’s something we recommend everyone who visits Pooler does at least once.
You’ll see all kinds of birds and ducks while walking around (and even some turtles) but despite this, the park is dog-friendly too. If your little ones still have some energy to expend after taking a stroll around the lake, then there’s no shortage of activities on offer here for them to enjoy. There’s a highly popular playground with swings and slides, and there’s also a sizeable disc golf course here too (which can be enjoyed by beginners and enthusiasts alike).
2.) Frames 'N Games
Frames N Games is a special place that’s basically custom made for creating fond childhood memories. The main attraction here is an amazing ten pin bowling alley that has a 1950’s feel to it, despite being fitted with super modern lanes and equipment.
The well-stocked arcade has over 60 different games including some old school classics and several modern marvels. Most of the machines here provide tokens that can be spent at the well-stocked redemption counter that has a wide selection of prizes that can be won with almost any amount of tokens (so you don’t have to spend a fortune for your kids to receive a prize).
The lazer tag here is extremely popular and its two-story layout and clever design makes it a thrilling adventure for children and adults alike. The games last for 15 minutes and are very reasonably priced, and while that sounds like a short amount of time to play – it feels much longer than it is.
However, if you’re looking for something a little less active, then the 5D theatre (yes that’s not a typo, it’s 5D) is an experience you’re not going to forget in a hurry - and it is well worth checking out.
3) National Museum Of The Mighty Eighth Air Force
This a must-see attraction in Pooler that’s fascinating for kids and adults of all ages. It chronicles the stories of the men and women that contributed to the Mighty Eighth Air Force throughout world war two.
You’ll find tales of courage and valor, alongside several incredible real airplanes and other genuine ww2 exhibits that educate and entertain at the same time. It’s an amazing day out, and there's so much information here that visitors often find themselves coming back for more time and time again.
It’s the top-rated attraction in Pooler on Trip Advisor for a very good reason, and it’s certainly not to be missed the next time you’re in town.
